AnyPS5 troubleshooting and common errors
Diagnose format, dependency, input and graphics failures in order.
Before the window opens
Confirm the input is clean ELF, the relinker targets the right operating system, and libs/ contains matching host-native libraries. Windows error 193 suggests a format mismatch; 126 can indicate a missing dependent DLL. On Linux, an undefined symbol points to a missing export or mismatched library. Rebuild the explicit libs target after changing source.
After the window opens
Check the selected Vulkan device in the log. An allocation error, unsupported shader operation, mixed DCC keys and a missing resource file are different failures. Keep the exact message, build hash, patches and scene. Read reports for your platform and GPU; do not apply a workaround from an unrelated game without understanding what it disables.
Make a reproducible report
Compare one change at a time. Separate a clean baseline from a patched run and keep logs for both. Include steps, expected behavior, actual stop, test duration and any screenshots or video. Remove personal paths and unrelated sensitive information before sharing. Submit to the upstream discussion matching the game or to this site’s repository for a catalog correction.
