AnyPS5 system and build requirements
Check AnyPS5 operating-system, Vulkan and source-build requirements. Learn how to compare hardware reports and diagnose memory allocation limits.
Host and graphics
The documented runtime targets are x86-64 Windows and Linux. The graphics device needs Vulkan 1.1 and suitable graphics/compute queues and swapchain support. A Vulkan version number alone does not establish that a game’s shader and memory paths work.
There is no verified universal minimum RAM or GPU specification for every title. Memory use depends on the game and build. On Windows, direct-memory allocations consume commit capacity backed by RAM and the page file; an allocation failure is not necessarily a lack of physical RAM.
Source-build tools
Current build documentation calls for Git with submodules, CMake 3.22.1 or newer, Ninja and a C++20 compiler. Windows uses the specified WinLibs GCC 15.2.0 POSIX/UCRT r7 toolchain. Keep its MinGW runtime DLLs with the libraries. Follow current upstream documentation when those versions change.
Read hardware reports before upgrading
Compare the operating system, GPU family, driver, build and scene, not just the FPS column. A faster GPU cannot implement a missing API or fix an invalid shader translation. A menu running at 60 FPS says little about a later level. If a report uses an experimental flag or fork, account for it before treating the hardware as a recommended configuration. No universal minimum or “all PS5 games” hardware tier is established by these reports.
